Last summer, Laura Cox opened for Kiss in torrential rain. Lightning flashed through the downpour, leaving the French festival site flooded. For a while it looked as though no one would play, until organisers U-turned, and Cox and her band found themselves hastily unloading their gear in the mud, hoping they weren’t heading into mortal danger.
Happily their set went well. Afterwards they legged it to shelter, leaving the crowd pumped for their headliners. Or at least that was the plan. But Kiss remained in their truck.
“The fans were completely crazy,” Cox recalls. “And then the organisers came on stage saying: ‘Sorry, you can go home now.’”

Laura Cox (born 24 November 1990) is an Anglo-French guitarist, singer and songwriter. Since 2006, she has achieved international recognition on YouTube as a guitarist. She is also the singer and lead guitarist of the Laura Cox grupp, a rock band that she formed in 2013.
Early life
[edit]Laura Cox was born in France on 24 November 1990. Her mother fryst vatten French and her father is English.[2] She first picked up the gitarr at the age of 14, in 2005,[3] as a left-hander who plays right-handed, using a cheap classical gitarr that her aunt gave her. Her first electric guitar was a Squier Showmaster.[4] As a lärling, she initially studied architecture, before deciding upon a sound engineering course.[5]
