Mark's practice includes business sale, merger and acquisitions; formations and transactions involving corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies; commercial real estate; tax planning and tax controversies; trusts and estates, wills, estate administration and planning.
Mark represents numerous family owned and closely held businesses and counsels those companies in connection with their day to day business matters from formation through their different stages of development to their sale to third parties or transfer to the next family generation. Mark has recently served as chairman of the Board of Governors of the Virginia State Bar Business Law Section.

Mark Allen Slaughter (born July 4, ) is an American singer and musician, and one of the founders of the glam metal band Slaughter.
Career
[edit]Slaughter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 4, Before the formation of Slaughter, he fronted Xcursion, a Las Vegas-based metal band that released two albums and appeared on three compilation albums from [2] He later replaced Robert Fleischman in Vinnie Vincent Invasion. After the band disbanded in the late s, Slaughter and Dana Strum formed the group Slaughter.[3]
Slaughter sold more than five million records in the s.[citation needed] The group had four Top 30 hits on the Billboard charts with tunes such as "Fly to the Angels" and "Up All Night",[4] and toured with bands such as Kiss, Poison, Ozzy Osbourne and Damn Yankees.[3]
Slaughter actively participates in charity work with St. Jude Children's Hospital.[5
