    Ibrahim Abdullahi Lamorde (20 December – 25 May ) was a Nigerian police officer who was appointed Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on 23 November after chairman Farida Waziri had been dismissed by President Goodluck Jonathan.[1] He was confirmed as Chairman by the Senate on 15 February [2]

    Lamorde was born on 20 December in Mubi, now in Adamawa State.[3][4] He attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, graduating with a B.A in Sociology in He joined the Nigerian police in , and from to worked at the Niger State Police Command in Minna.[5] From to he was Divisional Crime Officer in Rijau, Niger State. He then served as Police Public Relations Officer for the Niger State police from to [6]
