The  History Research Group was started to research the histories of as many  poeple that are buried in the cemetery as possible. The Cemetery has  over 8,000 people buried in it, so the job of finding out about them is a  huge task.

The  group meet every couple of months to compare notes. Some of the group  are researching their own family history and providing pictures and  documents to back up their research and all will be catalogued and made  available on the website.

At any time cemetery friends are busy researching individuals buried in the cemetery. We do this using our own documentary records, the internet, newspapers and information given us bygd relatives or other contacts.
