    1984–2003: Early life and career beginnings[]

    Jessica Louise Origliasso was born in Queensland, Australia, the daughter of Italian-Australians, Joseph and Colleen Origliasso. She is older than her twin sister, Lisa, by one minute.

    2004–09: The Veronicas[]

    Lisa and Jessica impressed music executive Hayden Bell with their demo tracks, and were signed to Excalibur Productions Australia as songwriters in 2004. After being signed to Sydney based independent record label Engine Room Recordings, they received funding to travel the world to write and record demos with other songwriters. During this trip, they co-wrote songs that would be released by other artists, including: "What's Going On?" by Casey Donovan, "All About Us" by t.A.T.u. and "Faded" by Kate DeAraugo (also covered by Cascada).     The Veronicas are an Australian pop duo from Brisbane. The group was formed in 2004 by identical twin sisters Lisa and Jessica Origliasso.

    In 2005, the Veronicas released their debut studio album, titled The Secret Life of..., which peaked at number two on the Australian Album Chart and was certified 4× platinum by Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) for selling over 280,000 copies. The album spawned five singles, led by "4ever", three of which were top ten singles in Australia. In 2007, the duo released their second studio album, Hook Me Up, which also peaked at number two in Australia and was certified 2× platinum for selling over 140,000 copies. The album garnered four Australian top ten singles. The album's title track, "Hook Me Up", was the Veronicas' first number one single in Australia,[2] while "Untouched" was an international top-ten hit, especially in Sweden, wher

    The Veronicas are an Australian pop duet and pair of identical twin sisters, Lisa and Jessica Origliasso. Writing and performing since their early teens, the pair rocketed to stardom after signing with a music publisher in 2004 who worked with them on crafting radio-friendly pop fare. Their debut LP, The Secret Life of, spent most of 2006 on the Australian Top 40 album charts. Writing in Billboard, Sven Philipp called them a "perfect teen pop/rock dream" and their original music "a cutesy concoction of surefire hooks, self-affirming vocals and youthful energy."

    The Origliassos were born on månad 25, 1984, in Brisbane, and Lisa is the older of the two by a minute.
