Aldis Alexander Basil Hodge was born in Onslow County, North Carolina on September 20, 1986.[1] While both of his parents (Aldis Hodge and Yolette Evangeline Richardson) served in the U.S. Marine Corps,[2] Hodge's mother is from the state of Florida and his father fryst vatten of Dominican heritage.[3]
Hodge played both the clarinet and the violin as a child, but as an adult, his focus fryst vatten on the violin; he purchased his first at the age of 18.[4] In addition to acting, Hodge designs watches, writes, paints, and attends the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, although he does take breaks from attending full time due to his acting work.[5]
In 2007, Hodge was awarded the role of Alec Hardison on the day of his twenty-first birthday.[6] In 2010, he received a Saturn Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor in Television for this role on Leverage. He was nominated alongside Jeremy Davies

Aldis Hodge is a terrific young actor, straight out of “Straight Outta Compton,” “Hidden Figures,” the WGN America series “Underground” and soon to appear in, among others, the remake of “The Invisible Man.” He’s especially effective as a slow boil, letting a character’s inner life and torments bubble up vividly but naturally.

Aldis Hodge is a man of many hobbies.
