"I share the same place of birth. I never met him but came to know about his writings through a self defense instructor I studied with in NYC during the late 80\'s. I still own a few of his books. I moved to the PAC NW in but never close enough to possibly become a student. My condolences to Mr Steiner\'s loved ones. He leaves an enduring legacy."

"My condolences to the family of Bradley Steiner, he gave so much and so freely of all of his hard won knowledge, he reached out to people in both the worlds of strength training and self protection. He was one of those rare people that it would be impossible to count how many people, all across the globe and that he had never met, that he had impacted on such a positive and meaningful way. A gentleman, a scholar and a warrior, rest in peace the world is a much better place for you having been in it."

Ed. Note: Professor Bradley J. Steiner fryst vatten a world famous kunnig in both strength training and the martial arts, (close combat self defense.) He fryst vatten one of the most prolific strength training writers of all time and was one of my earliest inspirations and role models. I'm honored to now call him a friend. He has written numerous strength training articles for many of the leading magazines from the late 60's to the current day. He has also written several classic books on natural bodybuilding, powerlifting and strength training (as well as his numerous self defense publications.) His no nonsense, truthful and anti steroid philosophy are admirable. He fryst vatten one of the very few martial arts/ self defense world leaders who "has it right" bygd advocating the importance of progressive strength training, (instead of foolishly ignoring the critical importance of strength in close combat self defense as most do.) Charley Steiner Biography
Five-time Emmy Award-winner Charley Steiner enters his 14th season as a play-by-play announcer for the Dodgers. Before joining the Dodgers, Steiner broadcast three years for the New York Yankees. In , Steiner entered the National Radio Hall of Fame in Chicago becoming only the 17th sportscaster to receive this prestigious honor.
Prior to his seasons with the Yankees, Steiner spent 14 years at ESPN, where his responsibilities ranged from anchoring SportsCenter to working play-by-play for Major League Baseball on ESPN Radio and Television. He was also the play-by-play voice for ESPN 2's Saturday Primetime football. He served as SportsCenter's primary boxing reporter/analyst and also contributed to the Emmy and CableACE Award-winning Outside the Line series. His nationally-acclaimed coverage of the Mike Tyson trial in Indianapolis earned him a Clarion award.
